We decided that just because COVID-19 made us cancel Gay Prom, it doesn’t mean we can’t have ~any~ fun! We’ve decided that even if we can’t all party together, we can still celebrate what the core of this event has been since it started - celebrating being queer and loving ourselves exactly the way we are and having a good time doing it. So, maybe it’s silly, but we decided that this Whole Weekend is officially VIRTUAL GAY PROM 2020 BABY!! Post videos of you dancing to your f...av music (or check out the original gay prom playlist [in our Instagram bio] OR LISTEN TO SOME OF THE DOPE ARTISTS WE WERE GONNA HAVE PERFORM FOR YOU), use the hashtag #VirtualGayProm2020, and we will add it to our story highlights! (If you don’t wanna post a video of you dancing on your own page - which is fair - you can just DM it to us!!!!) We know this SUCKS and we would much rather be partying with you all in person tonight, but, this seemed like the next best thing! And don’t worry if you feel like you’re making a fool out of yourself - most of us will probably be dancing, very badly, alone in our rooms, but if we all do it, it’s a helluva lot less sad!! So show us your moves, use the hashtag or tag us or just DM it to us!! Hi everyone! As I’m sure you’ve all heard by now, campus is temporarily shutting down due to the spread of COVID-19. Unfortunately, this also means that we are having to cancel Gay Prom as of right now. If we are able to reschedule, we will let you all know ASAP. In the meantime, please do what you can to stay healthy! Wash your hands, drink lots of fluids, and if you feel yourself getting sick, go to health services!!
