Exhibition Dates: October 22 - November 15, 2020 Press Release: Lichtundfire is happy to announce and welcomes all to the Exhibition Viewing & Reception of Covert-19, Part 3, Perpetual Ellipse. the 3rd Part of an Exhibition Series with work in various media created behind closed doors during the spring, summer and early fall of the pandemic of Covid-19. This exhibition brings together four artists whose work ranges from the poetic minimal to the abstract lyrical in painting, and arching process work that mixes different media as well as ‘simply’ oil on canvas. More than its predecessors, this exhibition keeps its eye on abstraction and focuses on a seductive reduction of expressions of both equally complex and universally basic observations. It prevails in an aesthetic that includes exuberant colors and tactile surfaces in conversation with minimal languages and their reduced and muted palette/s. Similar to planets orbiting the sun in a perpetual ellipse, while the energy in the system stays constant the works in the exhibition, as they move closer aesthetically and conceptually, their kinetic energy increases and their potential energy decreases.
