This has Got to be the MOST unsettling EVIL place I have EVER experienced, THE OLD FIELD MASSACRE HOUSE!!! Located in Greenlawn at 900 Park Avenue. We were forc...ed to remove this location from this years CHARITY haunted scavenger Hunt. The Historic Society alleged that people were walking on their private property and although we embelished the story a bit, ( which they were SUPER annoyed about) we could not take the chance of anyone getting arrested . This house is STILL undoubtably the location of one of the most GRUESOME murders on Long Island EVER. They do not want that publicized. I dont think I understood WHY till November 4th when I took a ride there to officially remove our QR code from the telephone poll ( public property) that is on the corner next to the house. Noone has lived in this house for I do not know how long. It is always dark although once in a while there is a single car parked in the back by the farm. It was about 10pm and i took the ride with my 22 year old son, a GF of his , my mother in law , and myself. We parked around the block and decided to walk over so I could remove the QR code. As we approached the house, there was a strange bright light coming from the top of the farm house behind the main house. We started walking closer to the home ( mind you my mother in law is handicapped so we were walking rather slowly). AS we got closer to the actual house there was a bright light shining from the side window that looks like it might be a kitchen. We took 3 steps toward the front of the house when all of a sudden the middle window on the 2nd floor started flashing light like friggen poltergeist. All the hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I got the most frightening feeling and let out a gasp . As I did this my son also gasped at the same moment .. we looked at eachother and couldnt get back to the car fast enough. It was the MOST frightening experience i think i have ever had. If we hadnt all seen it i wouldve thought i imagined it. Like literally right out of a movie. We got back to the car locked the doors and regained our composure. I started the car and turned around to get the hell outta there. Unfortunately i had to pass the house again to get on the main street. As we passed the house the second time, literally minutes later, the house lights were out again, except a small dim light in the lower window. I will never ever go there again... im no wimp but I have NEVER felt anything so evil. My mother in law said the same thing. I NOW wonder if THAT is the reason they stopped us from using this house as a location. Could this still be so evil and haunted and they know it. Guess we will never know the truth.
