Lil' Learners

Hi everyone! I miss all my Lil’ Learner families...... been so fun seeing some of you around the JCC. If you are looking for some good family fun for your family, this Sunday is the JCC Purim Carnival. Kids can wear costumes and participate in lots of games, bounce house and other fun activities. Hi everyone! It is with a heavy heart , but adventurous spirit, that I announce that I have taken a full time job at the JCC as Youth Director. I am very excited for this new challenge but with that, I need to close the doors of Lil’ Learners. Change is hard- 12 years ago, I imagined a class that young children and grownups could PLAY-CREATE-EXPLORE together! I could have never imagined what this Lil’ class would do for me. It was born at a time when my own kids were little... and in fact it grew like one of my own children. It became a piece of me and I gave it all I had to make it something that you would all cherish. I had so much fun with all of you, in fact my program would have been nothing without the 1000+ families that walked through my doors. THANK YOU!....YOU became my friends and gave me a platform to imagine endless CRAZY, MESSY, SILLY activities. It will always be a part of me as I move forward..... Speaking of forward, I have already began to imagine the kinds of programming that I can eventually offer at the JCC. They have a gym, stage, pool, classrooms, outdoor space .... it won’t happen over night ( and may never look exactly like what you know) ....but in time, I hope to be able to let you know about new, exciting, class offerings. Come join me on an ALPHABET Adventure! Come play, create, and explore-( Lil’ Learners style) ..... as we work our way through the alphabet. We’ll learn about a different letter each week through art, science and hands on fun. All the things you love about Lil’ Learners, with an emphasis on letter recognition, sounds and writing. We’ll make an alphabet book, adding a new letter weekly, for you to keep. This story by Merrily Kutner , will have us exploring the sights and sounds of the animals and activities on a farm. With fun rhymes and silly illustrations, the book will be our guide as we imagine, play and explore the farm, one animal at a time . Fall has never been so fun.....
