Yesterday members of the Lincoln Fire Department's Truck Committee finally got to meet our new Engine 10 for a "hands on" inspection as well as performing pump and driving tests. We can't wait to see this new truck "In Quarters and In Service" serving our Community.

While the weather yesterday was dismal it was still a beautiful day for a Ride to School in a Fire Truck! Congratulations to Adelynn for doing her homework assignment and being selected as a Lincoln Fire Officer (Honorary) for the day. Even better... she chose to share her ride with (2) of her younger sisters (who attend WP and WE and did their homework as well). The Lincoln Fire Department is proud of all of our Wayne Central students who participated this year to help keep their families SAFE.

Proud to share with others how Lincoln's Life Safety program adapted to maintain relationships with our young friends while sharing our message of Safety.

Even a late surge from Wayne Primary was not enough to overtake TCA Middle School... this year's Ride To School in a Fire Truck Champions! Congratulations to all the students who participated and for setting a new record for entries (269).

FOUR HOURS LEFT... a new record for entries and a late surge by WP keeping the Bonus Ride close...

Less than (24) hours left in this year's Ride to School in a Fire Truck contest. Homework is due Friday by 3:00PM. If you know a Wayne Central Student make sure they've submitted their entry form. Can TCA Middle School lead this from beginning to end... tomorrow will tell.

Hello everyone here’s your Monday Ride to School update. With (5) days left to enter we have (142) entries with TCA Middle School in the lead. Remember the School with the most entries will be rewarded with a second Ride to School so every student matters! The deadline for entries is Friday at 3:00 PM please encourage your Wayne Central student to participate. The Lincoln Fire Department is a member of FDWC and proud to support its programs at Wayne Central.

Hello everyone here’s your Ride to School in a Fire Truck update. As of Thursday morning we have (50) entries with TCA out in the lead. Remember, the School with the most entries gets a SECOND RIDE! So let’s be sure to encourage our Wayne Central students to do their homework assignment from FFBob and submit their entries. While COVID has changed a lot of things, FDWC is proud to continue this tradition. Let’s all work together to make it the best one yet!
