Happy Tuesday, from Lakewood Fire! We're taking advantage of the remaining summer weather and getting some hose testing done.

Make sure infants and older adults, including relatives and neighbors, are cool and hydrated on hot days. They are at higher risk for heat exhaustion and other ...heat illnesses. Great drill tonight for EMTs and crew. Thanks to all who participated. Cardiac arrest drill using our LUCAS CPR device, AED, suction and manpower! We also practiced with the HARE traction device for a fractured femur.

The Lakewood Volunteer Fire Department will be holding their annual fundraising golf tournament on Saturday, May 25, 2019. If you are interested in participating, you can pick up an entry form from the Lakewood Village Hall during regular business hours, from the Fire Hall any Tuesday evening or by mailing in the entry form from Facebook.

If you have a hydrant near by, please don’t forget to shovel around it. Better to do it now rather than when it is actually needed.
