Happy #WomensHistoryMonth! We celebrate and honor the groundbreaking accomplishments and sacrifices made by women. Begun in 1911 and commemorated by the U.N. in 1975, International Women’s Day has been observed for generations. However in 1987, Congress officially dedicated the entire month of March to those who identify as a woman. This year we turn our eyes to the women of the world and how they have impacted science, culture, and history. Tell us about a woman who you admire that made history down below!

Last but certainly not least on our Spring ‘21 introductions is our Academic Advisor Professor Michael J. Jordan! Professor Jordan is an international journalist, Global Communications Specialist and a Visiting Professor of Journalism who’s taught students and trained professionals on four continents: from New York to Hong Kong, from Prague to Maseru. As a freelance Foreign Correspondent, Jordan has reported from 30 countries over 25 years mostly in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Southern Africa for Foreign Policy magazine; French news agency AFP; Christian Science Monitor; Harvard’s Nieman Reports; South Africa’sMail & Guardian; and others!
