Meeting Harmonious Life Team: It is NOT about me. It is devoted to another very essential member of the team! whose only flaw is not letting me take a photo of her. Sofia is not just my assistant; she is also my patients'/your advocate.... Sofia assist me and helps my patients in the most gracious and pleasant way, always with a wide, beautiful smile on her face, which is behind a mask at the moment but trust me, it’9ooks there! Here are some fun facts: She danced with a few contemporary and modern dance companies She is obsessed with essential oils as much as I, which is why the Harmonious Life office always smells so lovely She is passionate about healthy living, of course! How could I choose someone who wasn’t? She loves animals and has cared for hundreds of them She usually makes a lot of noiseat lunchtime with her glass food containers. I have never seen her use plastic, she’s so committed to a green lifestyle! Her grandmother’s vegetarian Borscht is something else, rich, colorful, and nourishing! Strategies for a Healthier Vacation to avoid the typical aftermath - Hydrate yourself first - not drinking enough water will interfere with multiple metabolic processes in the body and will promote weight gain. - Have your Breakfast - it might be more like a brunch but eat within 3 hours of waking up - Skip the bar! Sorry, but alcohol(either mixed drinks or plain beer or straight shots are nothing else but pure carbs=sugar). If you have more than 1 drink daily on vacation,... let it be your only guilt Those alcohol calories add up very quickly. Also, remember after each drink, extra glass of water is required to counteract the alcohol's dehydrating effects. - Indulge once a day and... - Pick your sin - 1 self-sabotaging food/behavior a day - alcohol or carb or fat or extra portion a day. My sin is decadent dessert every other day ... - Start your meals with a bulk of vegetables and light appetizers NOT BREAD & BUTTER/OLIVE OIL to naturally crowd out unnecessary empty calories. - If you have done your Food allergies and especially Food Sensitivity testing, stay away from those foods - it will help you not to be swollen, bloated, experiencing headaches, fatigue, itching and a lot of other uncomfortable symptoms. - Share & Get accommodated! Frequently portions at the restaurants are quite large. Many restaurants have calorie information to guide your choice and overall don't be shy to ask for more of vegetables as part of the entree while removing half of that starchy carb or completely revamping the dish. - Be ready for the glitches in your digestive system. With a change in schedule, climate, flight, water, and food, frequently we experience changes in our bowel regularity. Make sure to have something with you handy while away. I don't go anywhere far without my high quality probiotics, digestive teas, and other natural bowel support. - Take your supplements religiously even when away - whenever I go I have those on me. Sometimes you mighy need to aSometimes you mighy need to adjust the Supplements Regimen a bit but still don't miss it. - Choose Wisely!
