Advent Day 9- Baby Jesus Scripture: Luke 2:6-7, Isaiah 9:6 Often we can get our self wrapped up in the business of the season. It's not about the gifts, the cookies, or makiing sure that the tree looks perfect. Take a moment and be reminded of what Christmas is truly about. ... Isaiah 9:6 "For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Might God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace"

Advent Day 8- Stable Scripture: Luke 2:6-7 There was no fanfare, no birthday drive-by, no stork at the end of the driveway. He wasn't born among kings, but instead among the animals. What a blessing to have been a cow, or a goat or a sheep or even a mouse in that barn on that special night.

Advent Day 5- Donkey Scripture: Luke 2:1-5 When I was young there was a Christmas show that would play on television. That show told the story of Nestor the Donkey. A young donkey who had nothing special about him. In fact, he was ridiculed by the others in the barn because of his extremely long ears, but Nestor was born for a very specific purpose. Nestor was born to be the Christmas donkey, the donkey who would help Mary travel to Bethlehem. ... God uses the ordinary for extraordinary purposes.
