Quantum Summer Welcome to Litha, Sun’s Wending, or Summer Solstice. This longest day of the year was honored by the ancestors as a day of fire. The fire wheel (...made of wood and hay), torchlight processions, and often bale fires were common. These represented the bright sun, and its life giving presence in the world. Cattle would be driven between two bale fires to purify them for the coming year. Young men would leap through the flames for good luck and health. The elderly would walk through the smoke to rejuvenate their aging bodies and give them vigor. It was a celebration of life. Doubts, fears, setbacks, delays, opposition, etc... all are expected in some form or another. These can ruin any working and undermine all the progress made if they are allowed to shift our vibration away from the intention we set at 12th Night. Litha is the time to remove these negative blocks to the creative energy we put to work on Walpurgis (Beltane). The purpose of these ancient fire rituals is to burn away these obstacles with the life giving fire of the Sun, and free that energy for more positive use. Today, examine what you’ve been trying to manifest since 12th Night, and be honest. How has it been going? Have you been putting enough effort into it? Could you do more, and if so, why haven’t you? Most likely it’s the lack of belief that the goal can be achieved. The negative setbacks and unexpected obstacles can derail the entire work unless we recommit to success. This is the mid-point, when we have taken a few hits, but still have time to adjust. So adjust. If you can get outdoors and have a fire, light one with intention. If you have a cauldron, you can have a fire indoors. If nothing else, light a candle. This is your bale fire. This is the purifying flame of the Sun, the fire of life. Feed it the negative energy that has accumulated thus far, and let it be transformed in the fire to inspiration. Rather than letting them become excuses to quit, forge them into reasons to keep going, or try again. Write your challenges, doubts, setbacks, disappointments, etc on a piece of paper, a leaf, a piece of wood, what have you. If, like me, you favor runes, choose a few significant ones, and add those to the writing. Then burn it in your bale fire, again with intention. Burn away those obstacles, and transform the negative doubts into iron resolve. On this longest day of the year, when the light dominates, truth is easier to see, and easier to accept. That’s why I suggested ‘ examine what you’ve been trying to manifest since 12th Night, and be honest.’ Remember, Witches claim I create my reality. This is not a boast, it’s a confession. We have to accept responsibility for every aspect of our life in order to have the power to change it. On this brightest day of the year, have a good look at the truth, accept it, and change what needs changing. Blessed be!

Quantum Reality, Part 2 The Matrix One of the hardest things to argue is that the world around you is the same world that is around me, or anyone. You might s...ay, Well, I see the same thing you see. So we agree that something is real. But what if the person you’re asking for confirmation from is also just a projection of you, another part of your own unfathomable mind, a random character in your dream? Of course they would agree. They are also you. If the entire world and everything in it was simply a projection from you, like a dream, or an imaginary concept, but your conscious mind was unaware of this, how would you know the real world from the dream? Would there really be a difference? Or are the ancient mystics correct in suggesting the world IS the dream, and reality is nothing as it seems in this physical plane. Curiously enough, science is starting to suggest much the same thing. As we learn more about the strange world of the subatomic, we find that laws of physics don’t apply. We find objects that appear in multiple places at the same time. Electrons appearing and disappearing at random. Communication between particles over any distance happening instantaneously, breaking the light speed rule imposed by laws of physics. Liquids that flow uphill. Objects that move through solid matter as though it didn’t exist. I could go on and on, but the evidence is already there. The world we live in isn’t the reality we think it is. We’ve been living in a dream world, Neo. But who’s dreaming, and who’s the dream? Some beliefs state that the one doing the dreaming is god. Others suggest it’s a collective consciousness. But the most compelling idea is that both of these are correct. The so called Collective Intelligence is also what we might call Divinity or God. We are not beings living in the Universe observing things as they happen. We ARE the Universe, and are part of what is happening. We are the dreamer, and the dream. Now we come to the Quantum Magic portion of our evening Meditation is meant to silence the conscious mind. And it is this consciousness that is the source of that projected universe we call ‘Reality’. When we silence that part of the mind, in essence turning it off, we allow the illusion to fade away leaving only the true reality. From here, where everything is not as it seems, we discover what Max Planck, one of the founding fathers of Quantum Physics, called the Matrix. It is this matrix on which everything is constructed. All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force... We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter. By reaching this meditative state where our illusion is no longer being projected by us, we can rewire our own reality at the very foundation. Here we are able to make alterations in the very structure of our reality that will manifest in the illusion we live out each day. If you want to change your world, this is where you begin, where all creation begins in the silence of emptiness. Nearly every faith on the planet starts with the same concept. In the beginning there was nothing And from this ‘Nothing’ all things are created.
