Steps all businesses should be taking now to minimize overheads during the Covid-19 shutdown: Insurance: Call your insurance broker/carrier and ask them to adjust your insurance premiums for both workman's comp and general liability insurance (if payroll based). On average insurance carriers are giving credit back on premiums based on (12) weeks of payroll. Calculate your new premium based on the current quarter of payroll x 3. No need to await for an audit to adjust your ...premium. Taxes: Defer payments on your state and federal taxes for both personal and corporate taxes. Both NYS and IRS have extended their filling deadlines from April 15 to July 15, 2020. Sales tax payments that were due on March 20, 2020 will not incur late filing penalties or interest if filed later. ** Note this extension does not apply to withholding taxes. All NYS-1 and NYS-45 payments remain due as per normal schedules. Utilities: Contact your utility companies to arrange payment extensions if required. Con Edison have stated that they will not turn off your utilities for non-payment. You can make payment arrangements online. Disaster Loans: All businesses affected by the Covid-19 downturn should take immediate steps to apply for one of the disaster loans under the Stimulus Package. Hello All, Please be advised that due to technical difficulties at the Aisling Center, we will be cancelling the Quickbooks course scheduled for tomorrow. We will reschedule the course once PCs are repaired. Apologies for the short notice but it is outside my control. All refunds may be picked up at the center....
