Thank you to Reid Petroleum and ExxonMobil for their donation to Lockport High School. Each company donated $500 for use with programming focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education. The LHS Robotics Team will utilize this funding.

Lockport High School Financial Aid Night Tuesday, October 27th! The virtual meeting will begin at 6:30 PM with time for questions following the presentation. Katie Kocsis, Director of Financial Aid at Niagara University, will present a program on the different types of aid available and the process through which parents and students can obtain financial assistance for college. This night is intended for seniors and their parents, but students and parents of all ages are welcome to attend. If college is in your future, it is in your best interest to attend! Roy B. Kelley Elementary School: Mrs. Korchowsky's 2nd grade art students created snowflakes ornaments out of craft sticks and gems. The PTA was kind enough to buy and prepare all the materials for the annual holiday craft for the whole school. Thank you so much RBK PTA!

George Southard Elementary School 3rd and 4th grade Kindness Club students created paper ornaments that will be donated to the Eastern Niagara Hospital of Lockport. Students voted and chose to donate to ENH for their Holiday project. Great job Kindness Club! #LionProud
Charles Upson and Roy B. Kelley students practicing FUNdations letters in a fun fall way! Wilson Fundations program makes learning to read fun while preparing students for life-long literacy. Students in grades K-3 receive a systematic program in foundational skills, aligning with state standards, and emphasizing: reading, vocabulary, spelling, and more.
Charles Upson Elementary School: Mrs. Enderton’s third grade classroom students were able to attend a video conference sponsored by Fuel Up to Play 60 (FUTP 60), a leading national in-school health and wellness program launched by the National Football League (NFL) and National Dairy Council (NDC), which was founded by America's dairy farmers, in collaboration with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Students learned about the importance of staying active and including dairy in their diets. Students met a local dairy farmer as well as Harrison Phillips from the Buffalo Bills. #LionStrong #FUTP60

October is National Bullying Awareness Month! Charles Upson 4th grade students participated in a poster contest, creating signs and slogans to raise awareness to "Band Against Bullying". Top 3 winners will be awarded at the end of the month. We are very proud of the creativity and hard work put into their posters! They are all winners in banding against bullying!
Miss DiCarlo’s kindergarten class at George Southard Elementary School had fun on a leaf hunt! They picked their favorite leaf and answered science questions about the leaf they chose.
