EMBRACE THE NOISE Election Day, Shlemection Day, The big deal on Nov. 3 is the second part of the Long Island Blues Society's Blues Education Series. Patientl...y waiting (yeah right) for the results to come rolling in that night around 11 or so can be stressful. Here's an idea. Head over to this page at 7:30 pm and check out guitar wizard Dan O'Rourke's presentation on controlling the inherent noisiness of the electric guitar. The session will include a demonstration of ways to control the noise using your equipment and playing techniques. Also on tap will be a demonstration of some practice techniques that Dan said he found helpful in identifying areas that need attention.
