Long Island Orchid Society

As an orchid horticulturist, I am often asked to name my favorite orchid. But the answer is complicated! It changes minute by minute, especially when I am walk...ing through the orchid collection. My eyes and brain go a bit wonky when I am immersed among so many orchids. At this very second my favorite would have to be Paphiopedilum micranthum var. eburneum. I just adore this species’ flowers and leaves mottled with white speckles. Every orchid has its own personality! See more
