Another busy day at #139EldridgeSt Artist @tanitam and art critique @jbadajoz enjoying ‘Estancias Placenteras’ by Jose Garcia Cordero, part of our current exhibition ‘The Tunnel’. They’re also getting excited about ‘Here Versus There’, our next exhibition. . "Estancias Placenteras translates literally to pleasant stays, sends us to a moment of the most pure existentialism in the life of the artist, where the principal nucleus of the body of work that conform the collection h...ave been created under the atlantic atmosphere of his new space and studio, located in Encuentro Beach of Cabarete, Puerto Plata, RD. Half a dozen of the pieces, have as a protagonist the lonely swimmer, that indomitable mythological character that inhabits the lagoons, rivers and seas in remote corners of the island, Nothing makes me afraid, state's Garcia Cordero from his refugee in Encuentro, searching in the Popa savanna, through the dry forests, steril wetlands, inhumane beaches, to just exist. The artist is not a hermit but he wards off from God and men to nurture the profound fiber that allows the sublime. According to Garcia Cordero This body of work operates as a registry of being. One Year Ago... @lorgallery presents @losbravu at VOLTA NEW YORK 2020 @voltaartfairs . @camillereitzel @lor_contemporaneo @tanitam @charooquet

#Repost @losbravu with @make_repost An equestrian portrait that we painted traveling with @lorgallery across impossible roads in the Samana peninsula, we learned a lot there. We finished painting the canvas in our house in London, where we dance so much. Finally the canvas flew to New York for @voltaartfairs just a year ago, when the covid began to focus all the conversations ... today it decorates a wall in Washington. - Un retrato ecuestre que pintamos viajando con @lorgallery por caminos imposibles a traves de la peninsula de Samana, alli aprendimos mucho. Terminamos de pintar el lienzo en nuestra casa de Londres, donde tanto bailamos. Finalmente el lienzo volo a Nueva York para @voltaartfairs hace justo un ano, cuando el covid comenzo a colorear todas las conversaciones... hoy decora una pared en Washington.

Estreno HOY! Video by @camillereitzel para el proyecto de rock dominicano ROCK & LOR disponible completo en el canal de ‘Lyle O. Reitzel Gallery’ en Youtube, convirtiendose en el 3er sencillo que forma parte del album debut en construccion. Compuesta por el ex ‘Cahobazul’, galerista y rockero, Lyle O. Reitzel, la letra y la musica surgen a partir del shock colectivo experimentado cuando el mundo se paralizo producto del advenimiento del nuevo virus Covid 19. Todos quedam...os confinados en nuestras casas practicando la cuarentena, a nivel de distanciamiento social, y bajo un riguroso toque de queda. Es durante una escapada en bicicleta por la Zona Colonial de Santo Domingo, capital mas antigua de America, que Lyle documenta las imagenes de una ciudad fantasmal, completamente vacia, con una atmosfera particularmente extrana y surrealista. Alli, en aquel escenario onirico emergen los primeros versos: En la sombrita, periplos de cuarentena, ciudad vacia, colmados abiertos, cervezas frias, miles de kilometros en bicicletas rojas... que brindan la inspiracion para contar y cantar una aguerrida historia de amor en tiempos del Covid. La cancion ha sido concebida en una onda rockera, con fragmentos que respiran fusiones de ritmos Caribenos bachatoides, ciertos aires a The Police o Talking Heads. Algunos riffs con sabor a ‘Los Stones’ y la inconfundible estetica sonora que acompana a ROCK & LOR. El proyecto cuenta con la colaboracion entusiasta de grandes amigos musicos: Juan Francisco Ordonez (riffs, guitarra solista y bachatoide), @pitola (bajo), @allangtr (guitarra slide, guitarra ritmica), @guillermoperezg (bateria), @otonielnicolas (percusion), @julianreitzel (guitarra Solista) y @lor_contemporaneo (voz principal, armonias vocales y guitarra ritmica).
