Dec 7th through 11th, the US Para National Bobsled Team will be training at the Lake Placid track. Five athletes with disabilities will be training, all five ar...e US military veterans who have suffered serious injuries. Three have spinal cord injuries and two are amputees. We are in need of three or four volunteers a day to help with moving sleds around. A strong back and healthy knees are prerequisites as the sleds are fairly heavy and need to be manhandled around to go onto a truck to be taken to the top. Times we need volunteers are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 3:30-5:30, Weds 1:00-3:00 and Friday 1:30-3:30. It’s a great group of athletes and we would appreciate any time you can give us to help out.
