NSASA is a long island organization who provides so much to the families of disabilities. Due to COVID and quarantine, they have not been able to hold as many in person events. Did that stop their efforts? Nope! They have arranged for ice cream trucks to go to group homes, planned virtual bingo nights, etc. Their events allow families of disabled people to attend social outings in a safe space. Who understands disabilities better than the families of disabled? No one! It's a ...judgment free zone. My family has been able to attend social outings for Pax with like minded people who just get it. People who are not phased by a meltdown. People who encourage, pitch in to help, and support. This weekend, I will donate a portion of all sales to the NSASA so they can continue to provide for the families of long island in honor of my autism warrior Paxton!
