One of the biggest challenges Helena and Fabiana have found in the industry has been finding the right financing for their business. Entrepreneurship can often be a male dominated world, so finding the right fit when it comes to finances is key. They haven’t let this slow them down. Happy Feature Founder Friday! Meet dance entrepreneur Jessica Mitcham, founder of JAMdancer. In 2015, Jessica found herself with time and a need to generate some extra income to support her family. She had taken off some time from dancing because she was pregnant at the time, and her friends were asking her for advice with booking and project management. She took this opportunity to convert her personal artist site into a site focused on booking and project management in the dance sphere. JAMdancer has a wide variety ofcomponents: JAMpress Management which offers artist management services, JAMstation which is a video blog, JAMshop which is a retail hub for dancewear, and various calendars which share classes, auditions, workshops, performances and more.
