LYHA Families, I’m beyond excited to formally announce that our rink is back to allowing hockey games starting immediately! I’d like to thank all of our coaches, volunteers and board members who have come together to make this all happen! I’ve never been more excited for our future than I am right now. Please take a moment and review the updated guidelines on our website. This includes updates on spectators, mask requirements and more. ... To talk through any of these changes, or to speak to any family member who is interested in being involved on our committee to help shape our future rules and growth plans, I will be holding informal town hall sessions in the rink party room. On both Monday and Wednesday, I will be available from 5pm on to chat. In the end, we are simply committed to two things. 1) following all local health department and NYS Hockey guidance to make this shortened hockey season a successful and safe one. 2) keeping our rink running and open for all families to enjoy. The girls from the Lysander 10U hockey team met with Lauren Dahm today to discuss the exciting world of girls hockey! Dahm established herself as an integral part of American women’s ice hockey and goaltending through her time as a Clarkson Golden Knight, a goalie on the US Under-22 national team, along with one of the Boston/Worcester Blades. She also appeared in the Aurora Games, a celebration of women in sports! Lauren hopes to inspire these young ladies to continue on their hockey journey and keep pushing boundaries!
