NEW this year! A Macedon area scavenger hunt! Local businesses partnered with macedon recreation to create this! Read the clues, visit the local business between Monday nov 23 and dec 18 and get a signature from an employee (receive a prize there as well) collect 8 signatures and email it to [email protected] and marks pizza will give you a free medium pizza voucher, your picture posted on the Facebook page and on my door here at the office! Try something new this holiday season!

There are still a few slots open for the family photos event on Saturday! Slots are between 1045 and 12. Send me an email at [email protected] for yours! Travel indoor soccer for girls grades 3-varsity level and boys grades 3-jv is now open for registration. Please keep in mind there are guildlines we have to follow. Masks as tolerated, no parents watching, sign in with phone number etc. Start dates will vary by group and coaches will let you know when they start bu...t the program runs through early March.. Cost is $35 per player. Sign up at www.macedonrec.com.. This also has what times and nights practices are. Finally, we also have softball pitching and catching happening starting December 3 at 6p at the intermediate school. We have dedicated coaches that have played themselves and can help girls 4th grade thru varsity with experience or not work on their pitching and catching for upcoming seasons. $20 for the season sign up at www.macedonrec.com.

It’s that time of year again where we start to send out those Holiday cards. Scott Haines from Amazing Memories is passing the torch on to a good friend of mine, Jim Hooper, for this year’s family photo event. Jim has been doing photography for 20 plus years, is involved in different photography groups throughout the area, teaches photography at 4-H Camp Bristol Hills and even photographed my wedding! Photos are set to be taken on Saturday November 21st from 9a-1p at the M...acedon Town Hall. Time slots will be the usual 10 minutes long with a 5 minute sanitation break in between sessions. The fee will be $20 cash at the door as well as a canned food item or pet item. These will be donated to a local food pantry or the Wayne County Humane Society. Upon entry, face masks will be required and check in will be at the desk in the hallway. Only one photo group will be allowed into the photo area at a time. Once you are in place for your photos, masks can be removed. There will be a temp check and a COVID waiver that will need to be signed prior to your photos being taken. Hand sanitizer will be required prior to entry as well and will be provided for you. Once your session is completed, Jim will email 2-3 edited photos of his choosing, along with a photo release, so that you can use them as you wish! If you wish to purchase different edits, prints etc, Jim will be able to help you out (fees will apply). Time slots are on a first come first serve basis.. Might be a bit chilly but fall soccer is ready to roll tonight! Masks are required when not able to socially distance. Water fountains are off so please bring water. The 2/3 year olds are closest to the concession stand and it gets older as you move towards the tennis courts. Dress warm and have a blast! I'll see you there!
