Happy Independence Day from the 1709 Madam Brett Homestead, the oldest house in Dutchess County and one that lived through the Revolutionary War, 1775 - 1783! Under the stewardship of the Melzingah Chapter, NSDAR since 1954, the Homestead continues to Rise and Shine each day as a reminder of our history, liberties, and independence!
Tours at the homestead are temporary suspended. But the grounds and our beautiful gardens are open.
