The Madison County DMV in Wampsville is here to serve you. We are processing thousands of transactions each week and we appreciate your patience during this time. Currently, for all vehicle registration questions of any kind, we are accepting work by drop off or postal mail and completing most transactions within four business days. Completed registrations and plates can be picked up between 12pm and 2pm the day after customers are contacted by one of our cashiers. In addition, only Madison County residents or those who live in counties which border Madison (Otsego, Oneida, Onondaga, Cortland, and Chenango) are able to schedule appointments. Customers must make an appointment online using this website https://madisoncountydmv.setmore.com/bookappointment. TRAILER OR CAMPER RENEWAL Send the following to New PO Box 667 Wampsville NY 13163 OR put it in our 24/7 BLUE drop box in the parking lot- YOU MUST include the following: 1- A photo copy of your NY driver’s License 2- A completed MV-82 https://dmv.ny.gov/forms/mv82.pdf (sections 1,2,4 and sign section 6)... 3- For payment, complete page 3 of the MV-82 which is a credit card authorization form- make sure to sign it. We will charge your debt/credit card 4- Your phone number- we will call you when the work is completed. We will not know the cost until after we run the transaction, sorry for the inconvenience.

PERMITS, LICENSES & NDID All expiration dates for licenses and registrations have been extended to at least July 6th. However if you live in Madison County you can schedule an appointment to come into our office conduct any driver’s license or non-driver ID business. Please complete the MV-44 or the renewal slip if you received one in the mail, prior... to coming into our office. If you live in a county which borders Madison County, we will take your name and number and call if an appointment is available the next day to help you complete your driver’s license needs. NEW/USED BOAT Send the following to New PO Box 667 Wampsville NY 13163 OR put it in our 24/7 BLUE drop box in the parking lot- YOU MUST include the following: 1- A Photo copy of your driver’s License 2- MV 82-B https://dmv.ny.gov/forms/mv82b.pdf... 3- DTF 802- https://www.tax.ny.gov/pdf/current_forms/st/dtf802.pdf (Sections 1,2,3, & 5) 4- For payment complete Page 3 of the MV-82 https://dmv.ny.gov/forms/mv82.pdf we will charge your credit/debit card. 5- If there’s a trailer, too complete the entire MV-82 (sections 1,2,4 and sign section 6) 6- The actual Title, signed by the seller and by you (Not a copy) 7- If there’s a trailer- the transferrable registration signed over to you 8- Bill of Sale 9- Your phone number- we will call you when the transaction is completed so you can pick up the sticker/plate or we will mail it to you. We will not know the cost until after we run the transaction, sorry for the inconvenience.
