Area firms named to Inc.'s list of fastest-growing private firms Rochester Business Journal August 21, 2013... More than 20 companies from the Rochester region made Inc. magazine’s list of the nation’s 5,000 fastest-growing companies. Rochester-based BarkerGilmore LLC ranks 1,022nd on the list, which was released Tuesday. The human resources services company logged $2.1 million in revenues in last year, a 422 percent increase over three years, the magazine reported. Ranked at No. 1,647 was Rochester-based New York Technology Partners. It experienced 237 percent growth over three years, and reported $3.2 million in revenue. It employs 23. Perinton-based MaeTec Power Inc. was the third-highest local firm at No. 1,877. MaeTec, a direct-current power application firm involved with federal contracts, saw an increase of 203 percent in revenue, the magazine said. The exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy, officials said. The 2013 Inc. 500 is unveiled in the September issue of Inc., which is available on newsstands now. To make the cut, companies had to have achieved a staggering minimum of 918.59 percent in sales growth. The Inc. 500’s aggregate revenue is $14.1 billion, with a median three-year growth of 1739 percent, officials said. The companies on this year's Inc. 500 employ more than 52,100 people and generated over 44,912 jobs in the past three years. Complete results of the Inc. 500|5000 can be found at www.inc.com/500. FAA renews GNAS Battery Replacement contract with MaeTec Power through 2014. Includes providing and replacing batteries at 2200 possible FAA radar sites.

The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded MaeTec Power a new contract in the amount of $13.6M for replacing Critical & Essential Power System batteries at the nation’s Air Route Traffic Control Centers across the country. MaeTec Power held the previous contract prior to this new award and extension.
