The Crew of the Maiden's Ram Pirate Ship

On this day in 1720, Carribean pirate "Calico Jack" Rackham was hanged at Gallows Point, Port Royal - Jamaica. Captured by the British Navy on October 20th, infamous female pirates Anne Bonny (Rackham's lover) and Mary Read (said to be Bonny's lover) were the only crew members who stood and fought while Rackham and his men - still drunk from a night of rum-soaked revelry - cowered below deck. Bonny and Read both escaped the gallows by "pleading their bellies" - claiming to be with child. As Rackham stood on the gallows, Anne Bonny is said to have scornfully shouted "If ye'd fought like a man, ye wouldn't be hanged like a dog". After the hanging, Rackham's body was gibbeted and displayed as a warning to other pirates on a small islet at the mouth of the Port Royal harbor that is today known as Rackham's Cay.

What started out as a dream project is slowly becoming a reality ... a donated 1967 Chris Craft Cavalier slowly dismantled and begins to take shape of the pirate ship known as the Maiden's Ram :)

After comin' into port to restock the bevvy, the entire crew knocked on a door to do some caroling. Since no one answered we decided it would be best to wait and since we didn't want to bevvy to get too cold, decided to hoist a few.

Beginnin' with two pirates joining to create a fun troupe of singin' pirates to the addition of a donated vessel to Blade t' Blade combat to Floggin's. Detailing when crew made the cut and thems that fell during raids. The growth and erosion, the hopes and the despair, the cream and the dregs o' the crew ...
