Now through May 1 (this Saturday!), our friends at ShopRite Supermarkets will host their annual fundraising campaign for Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley! Today is World Wish Day, the anniversary of the wish that inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish. In cooperation with the NYS Thruway Authority, the Governor Mario M Cuomo Bridge will officially be lit in BLUE in celebration of the over 2,900 wishes we've granted in the Hudson Valley! We encourage you to take a walk on the bridge path this evening at sunset and be sure to take some photos and tag us on social @MakeAWishHV and use the hashtag, #35YearsOfWishesHV!

Today is #WorldWishDay, a day that honors the wish that sparked a global movement known as Make-A-Wish. It has been 41 years since Chris’ wish to be a police officer was granted by a community of caring people, including Chris’ mom Linda, who came together to create a life-changing moment that would give Chris an escape from his fight against leukemia.
