For a child fighting a critical illness, every day of waiting for a wish is one too many. Together, Make-A-Wish America and the incredible team at Macy's are helping bring joy back into a child’s life this holiday season through the #MacysBelieve campaign. For every letter written to Santa online or dropped off in-store through 12/24, Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish, up to $1M. Join us in bringing experiences of joy to a child today so they can look forward to tomorrow. Learn more and write your letter to Santa at https://mcys.co/37J2uxm

We have some BIG NEWS to share! Today, our friends from The 11 Day Power Play made an exciting announcement. In November 2021, the well-known event will make its return to the ice and its original roots. This 251+ hour hockey game will once again benefit Make-A-Wish WNY and local kids with critical illnesses! We couldn’t be more thrilled and grateful for the continuance of this amazing partnership. Thank you! We’re looking forward to 2021 and #puttingcanceronice.

In September 2018, Heidi and her family experienced, as Heidi puts it, a "once-in-a-lifetime trip." Since her wish was granted, Heidi has become an advocate for Make-A-Wish and children with critical illnesses - just like her. Heidi first joined our wish alumni program, Wish It Forward, and was quick to offer her voice. Since joining, Heidi has spoken about her wish journey as well as her difficult medical journey at local fundraising events. Most recently, Heidi and her fami...ly held a yard sale. Heidi's family chose to donate all the proceeds from the sale, plus match what was raised with their own personal donation. Heidi’s wish journey raised her spirits following her cancer treatments and helped her to start ‘moving on’ to her new normal. The strength and hope her wish gave her is what she hopes to help give to others. Thank you, Heidi, for helping us continue to grant wishes and make life-changing moments possible for kids like you. Ece lives with a life-threatening seizure disorder, but her mobility and balance issues don't dampen her energy or enthusiasm. Ece wished for an adaptive bike so she could get out more and spend time with family and friends. It helps her interact with the world. She rides for two hours a day, with neighbors coming out to wave as she goes by. It's been great since she hasn't been able to be at school recently, her sister said.... Ece's bike has given her more freedom, fun, and more time spent with people she loves - her favorite thing. Learn how you can help kids like Ece: https://bit.ly/2T7YXjn

"As a Make-A-Wish volunteer with a technology background, helping a wish kid build his dream computer was a perfect fit. I packed up my set of tiny screwdrivers, grabbed a mask and headed out for a 'build Simon’s wish' day. By the time I arrived, he had already unpacked all the pieces. I couldn’t blame him for being tempted. Throughout the assembly he asked lots of questions, but clearly he'd done his research. After four hours, it was ready to go - computer, desk, and access...ories. When he pressed the power button, I must admit that I wasn’t watching the computer light up I was watching Simon's face! It was even brighter than the screen coming to life." - Hayley, volunteer This wish brought Simon hope and joy at a time when he needed it most. You can help make more wishes like Simon's possible: https://bit.ly/3iV3oIR
