Machine Operator/Packer (Holley, NY) What’s in it for you? Full time hours $14.30 per hour ... C Shift (6:00pm 6:30am) 12 hour shifts Temp to hire position What is the job? Responsible for the productivity of your assigned machine. Responsible to report any equipment, safety, productivity or quality problems in a timely fashion. Responsible for meeting or exceeding production quotas on assigned equipment for the shift. Must be aware of cycle time of machine as compared to estimate and communicate to Shift Leader when cycle time does not meet estimate. Responsible for meeting or exceeding production quotas on assigned equipment for the shift. In addition, should leave the workstation in excellent condition for the operator on the following shift. This includes all parts, which may have fallen into the machine during the run and vacuum out any hanger-holes that may be present, workstation, and all machine surroundings. What you bring to the job? Must be familiar with all aspects of production. Must understand and follow all safety requirements. Must thoroughly comprehend all phases of our Quality assurance procedures. Basic math skills and reading skills are required. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Enhancing he finish of steel shafts, impellers and flanges Operating high speed tumblers and grinding wheels Utilizing pneumatic hand grinders and polishers up to 5 RA Grind, sand, clean, or polish objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing Load and adjust workpieces onto equipment or work tables, using hand tools. Maintain a clean and well-lit workspace; organize all deburring tools and equipment Inform the Manager when replacements are necessary Set up, operate, or tend grinding and related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharpen edges or corners, or buff, hone, or polish metal or plastic work pieces. What you bring to the job? High school diploma or GED equivalent Ability to pass a Background Check/Drug Test if needed Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, push and pull for most of shift Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, squat and lift Ability to follow all the Company’s safety policies and procedures Flexibility to work overtime and possible weekends See more
