To all of our Maple Medical patients, We hope that you and your families are doing as well as you can during these challenging times. We are reaching out to inform you that each of our three offices (170 Maple, 143 Maple and 30 Davis) are currently open and available for services. We have been working with NYS Department of Health and have made sure that all offices are fully sanitized in compliance with their requirements. We have intentionally kept all three offices open in... order to maximize both patient and staff distancing to six feet for the health of all. As healthcare providers, we are trying to achieve a delicate balance. Our highest priority is the health and safety of our patients, but we also must protect our healthcare workers and staff. In this regard, we are vigorously triaging all phone calls to ascertain whether the patient has any and/or all of the following symptoms of COVID-19 infection: cough, shortness of breath, fever or feverish feelings, chills, headache, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. By following this procedure, we will be available to give appropriate medical advice and assistance to patients with confirmed or possible COVID-19 infection while at the same time protecting our other patients and our staff. To this end we are vastly expanding our tele-health services. This will enable patients to see their doctor and discuss health concerns through a computer, tablet, or smartphone. We welcome your participation as we find remote platforms to communicate and support our patients. The days and weeks ahead will be very challenging and unique in our country‘s history. Dear Patients, As you may have heard two of our physicians and one nurse practitioner tested positive this week for the COVID-19 virus. This occurred after one of our physicians had social contact with the New Rochelle patient who is currently hospitalized at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital. We have been working closely with, and under the guidance of, the Department of Health since learning this news. Our physicians are currently reaching out to all of their patients who were... potentially exposed to the virus. Any Maple Medical patients who did not receive a call are not considered to be at high risk for exposure from these providers. For the protection of our patients and our staff, we have closed the Maple Medical office at 30 Davis Avenue. In an abundance of caution, we have closed 143 Maple Avenue as well, although the affected providers did not work at that location. As to 170 Maple Avenue, all offices are fully operational and we will keep you updated based upon Department of Health analysis. All offices have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Your health remains our highest priority and we are here to see you and treat you at any of our existing locations when they are re-opened, or at a temporary location that we may set up. These are going to be difficult days and weeks ahead and we would urge everyone to stay calm and seek guidance from their Primary Care Provider as well as adhere to the guidelines established by the Department of Health, New York State and the Center for Disease Control for protection from COVID-19 (see attached).
