Tonight our membership went to support our Marcellus Fire-Rescue sponsored little league team at Marcellus Park. Great game by the Lakeshore Little League Cannonballers! #marcellusny #marcellusfiredept
Last night for drill our members practiced hitting hydrants and flowing water out of hose lines and the ladder. We also had members who are upcoming drivers out putting miles on the engines with a senior driver. #marcellusny #marcellusfiredept
Today members of Marcellus, along with 10 other fire departments participated in a tank trailer training. The training consisted of both hands-on and classroom education on response to accidents involving tank trailers, the various types of tanks that exist, the hazards of tank trailers, what is being carried, the operation of filling and offloading tanks and how to stay safe while dealing with an overturned tank trailer. Thank you to Terpening for teaching this training, t...he Marcellus Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for making breakfast, the western section line officers association for organizing the training and Skaneateles, Jordan, Otisco, Navarino, South Onondaga, Warners-Memphis, Borodino, Spafford, Aurelius and Otter Lake Fire Departments for all attending, along with Emergency Management. The Marcellus Fire Department would like to extend our biggest Mother’s Day wishes to everyone. This video includes some of our mothers and grandmothers. Thank you to all of them for always being there for us and raising us into the men and women we are today.
In the event of an emergency, every second counts. Please help us shoveling out a hydrant if you have one in your yard or around your house. We appreciate the community’s continuous support! #marcellusny
Rest In Peace Chief. Our deepest condolences to the Baldwinsville Vol. Fire Company
The members of the Marcellus FD extended our deepest condolences to the Baldwinsville Fire Department for the passing of Past Deputy Chief Claude Reith. He was a member of Baldwinsville for 62 years. Rest In Peace Chief.
The Marcellus Fire Department Gator is equipped for any sort of search & rescue and rural patient transport operation. Equipped with tracks in the winter time, it is able to go down snowmobile trails and get to any rural areas far off the road with ease. The gator holds 2 personnel, plus a patient and a medic on the back in the med bed. We keep it in the trailer, so that it is able to respond in a moments notice, in an emergency. Our fire district encompasses 2 large hiking ...areas, a park with trails, a ski hill and countless farm fields and snowmobile trails. The Special Operations trailer is what houses the gator, along with other brush fire equipment. In the spring, summer and fall the gator is equipped with a 70 gallon water tank and a pump for brush fires. This Gator and trailer was a joint purchase with not only the Marcellus Fire Department, but Skaneateles, Spafford, Borodino, MAVES and SAVES as well. Our members are ready to bring this valuable piece of equipment to any department in our area, in the event of an emergency. #marcellusny #johndeeregator
At 16:04 Marcellus E-2 and Car 3 responded mutual aid to the Mottville Fire District, along with other departments, for a reported chimney fire. Crews investigated inside and outside, and only found minor extension. Marcellus units cleared at 17:30.
