Marcy Houses Scholarship Fund

Saturday’s Winter Wonderland at the Marcy Houses Community Center was really wonderful. Dapheney and the staff did a fabulous job decorating and organizations that believe in the Marcy donated gifts that really brightened the faces of the children in the program. Wonderful gifts were donated by Shawn Carter Foundation, National Grid and the Salvation Army. So awesome to represent the Marcy Houses Memorial Scholarship Fund. We also donated a little somethin' somethin'! @marcyhouses @scscholarship

On this Giving Tuesday, we're reflecting on just how monumental a year 2021 has been! We saw incredible support and validation of our mission and we are working diligently to bring about the change we know can occur. Please keep believing!!!

Meet your panelist! Courtney Camacho is a college access professional who has been active in the field for almost 15 years. She has a vast amount of experience working with first generation to college students, recent immigrants, and low income families, especially in New York City. ... Courtney is currently the Division Director of College Success Programs at Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation, a community based organization that primarily serves Cypress Hills and East New York areas of Brooklyn. In her current role, she supervises all college related programming for the agency, including two Student Success Centers, college persistence, Community Schools, and youth organizing. Courtney has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Bloomsburg University, and a Master's of Education in School Counseling from St. John's University.
