Maria Regina Kicked Off Its Year of Joseph Celebration on St. Joseph's Feast Day In this year of St. Joseph, we are filled with gratitude for the many ways the Maria Regina staff have kept the mission of unity and caring alive and thriving, especially during this challenging pandemic year. COVID19, Pope Francis says, has helped us see more clearly the importance of "ordinary" people who, though far from the limelight, exercise patience and offer hope every day. To recognize a...nd celebrate the Maria Regina family, the names of each of our 300 + staff members and consultants were lovingly written on a card to be are part of our St. Joseph's lobby display. A statue of St. Joseph the Worker is traveling throughout the building to spend a week on each unit and department to bring our love and gratitude, and perhaps foster a deeper connection to our patron saint. Valentine's Staff LOVE Parade at Maria Regina To bring some loving to residents, the staff at Maria Regina wore their flashy, fun or formal attire and travelled from unit delighting our residents!

Maria Regina’s first Operation Christmas Child was a huge success! Volunteers, staff, and the CSJ community donated toys, school supplies, hygiene items and financial love which allowed us to fill 120 shoeboxes for children in need throughout the world. This project truly lifted the spirits of the residents and morale of the staff, as they focused on the child receiving the shoebox. After filling the boxes, a blessing was said for each child, as well as the person who made the box. In the spirit of the CSJ hospitality, delicious red and green bakery cookies and beverages were available which added to the festivities. We deeply appreciate the support and prayers for this project! A special thank you to Theresa Roach, pastoral care assistant, for spearheading this event

Maria Regina’s Annual Memorial Mass

Halloween came alive this year at Maria Regina as the residents were surprised on October 30th, with a batch of pumpkin balloons. Friends of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Terry Moore, and his wife Margaret, Academy of St. Joseph graduate, used their creativity and loving hearts to bring much joy to our residents at a time when a little pumpkin could make a huge impact. Smiles were abound!
