One of my images (of Massawepie Lake) is a prominent piece in the lobby of the Saranac Waterfront Lodge in Saranac Lake. A print of this size is tricky to mount and hang. Thanks to Laura's Custom Artworks in Lake Placid, we got it done today. The new hotel is opening May 1 - stop in and check it out.

Yesterday was perhaps one of the last hikes at Massawepie where there is a little snow and ice left...but not much - starting to transition to spring.

At times a visitor to my studio will ask "what's your favorite photograph?" For me, that is an impossible question to answer - to be honest, I don't have a favorite, although I do believe some images are much stronger than others. I will say though, of my NYC images, this is one of my absolute favorites. I'm curious as to what others think of as their "favorite" images in this body of work - check it out and here (https://www.markkurtzphotography.com/nyc-fine-art) and weigh in with what is your "favorite".

Got over to Massawepie this past weekend for a short walk on the Massawepie Road on a very blustery day.

A heavy snowfall that covered everything this past weekend. A walk on the white trail around the northern end of Massawepie Lake.

A freshly fallen, silent shroud of snow...this past Sunday at Massawepie (thanks to Paul Simon for that alliteration).
