My heart goes out to this landlord: https://nypost.com//nyc-landlord-homeless-unable-to-evict/ I think it was ignorantly short-sighted for the government to include owners of less than 4 units in the legislation preventing them from recourse, and forcing them to accept that their tenants don't have to pay them. Granted, some really cant make the payments, and some other type of arrangement needed to be considered. But apparently the pea-brained architects of DiBlasio's admi...nistration didn't have the patience or ingenuity to make any exceptions. For them "landlord" means rich and evil, never mind the fact that there are scores of mom n' pop landlords, from the middle class, including many people of color, who are trying to make their lives better through homeownership and investment. This landlord's tenant is living the pretty life... new car, side business off-the books, while messing up the property and forcing the landlord to sleep in her own car. This is not right. See more
