The resilience of New Orleans Residents and all the many volunteers who came with Synagogues, Churches, Colleges and own their own came to our rescue. In the Lower 9 and every Ward did the best they could to help each through the Chaos and turmoil. I joined in through gifting families and neighbors of the many wards with food, shelters d Being a friend to so many. I have alway been thankful for my family, friends, secondliners, the Black Masking Indians(Mardi Gras Indians) and the many cultures who created Our World called New Orleans. Those who choose to be my friend and the ones that try and prevent my heart from caring about my friends- can no longer create a devide between me and my true friends. There will always be a place in my heart for these TRUE FRIENDS.

I still remember waking in the early morning and these words automatically came to me- I keep this in my living room. It reminds me of the resiliency of The New Orleans residents and a quote from my heritage of The Jewish People-WE SHALL OVERCOME. Our history is an ongoing process through our over 5,000 years on Earth. We were enslaved, beat, starved. tortured and unable to pray in Pubic and called nothing but Rats. Even the USA, Western and Easterm European countries and the... Vatican did there best to eliminate us. Well- WE ARE STILL HERE and thriving through education and believing that WE can make a difference in the lives of all mankind. The iproof is in the History of the many teachings of our Talmuds, Prayer Books and our families commitments to learning in our houses of worship. No one is better than any other person. If the world could take the time to study the true past of all religions- they will have a better understanding of our past and are acts of helping others in need. I follow my practice of Being Kind to others as you would wish others would be kind of you. See more
