Garlic for 2021 is planted! Garlic is such a hope for the future...we plant in November, it sprouts in the spring and we harvest in July. We added 20% more this year to hopefully satisfy all you garlic lovers ! Feeling thankful for the unbeatable planting weather, great crew and lovely soil tilth (fluffiness). This morning, we just handed over more garlic that will be in the Lockport Farm to School kit next week. We hope those families enjoy the fruits of our labor grown right here in Lockport!

"Out on the old New York acerage, Where the deer and the groundhogs play, There often was heard, A four letter word, But the tillin' was thrillin' all day."... Credit my mom for that ditty to commemorate a great milestone: Rich taught me how to drive the big tractor! He threw his back out, but we wanted to take advantage of this amazing weather. So, I got in the saddle! It's so fun! I might not give this job back to him!

We will be at the Lockport Winter Market! It starts this Saturday in the Harrison Bldg, 10-2. We will bring LOADS of fresh veggies! (Sometimes we still can't believe we grow all this and how far we've come in this farming journey.) Here are some highlights for tomorrow. That broccoli is dynamite! So come on down and pick up some fresh, nutritious, and local food to nourish yourself and your family! We will also have items in the market's online store when that opens next time.

We grew ginger!!!! Come get your FRESH Naturally Grown ginger at Lockport Community Market on Saturday Oct 31, 9-2 at Lockview Plaza. Get your tropical drinks on! Or make the fire cider, tea, and carrot ginger soup. This is our biggest, most surprising success of the whole season...We can't wait to share it with you!
