Anastacia's story was heartwarming and touched everyone here at Woodstock General & Implant Dentistry. Anastacia's mother wasn't able to give her the proper care she needed as a child which led her to be raised in the foster care system. Being placed in foster care and having a mother who had dentures by age 24, dental care was never taught to Anastacia. Now at age 30, Anastacia has been trying to fix her dental problems for over 10 years. However, finances made it tough and despite her getting a second job in hopes of having enough money to fix her smile, it never seemed to be enough. Anastacia's overall goal is to fix her smile, be able to chew without the fear of breaking a tooth, and feel more confident in herself so she can go back to school and get her dream job in trade work. Anastacia eventually wants to give back by fostering children in need and teach them about proper dental care. As Anastacia was writing her letter to us, tears were in her eyes. Every time she tells her story, she get's emotional and is so grateful for this opportunity. During our interview with her when we announced that she was our winner, she couldn't hold back her tears.
