Medina Mustangs Baseball

Varsity moved to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in league play after defeating Barker 19-2. Xander Payne earned the win on the mound going 5 innings, striking out 11, and allowing 1 run. He added 3 hits including a triple. The Mustangs hit the Diamond again Monday @ Akron.

QB1 makes his first start of the year on the mound! Junior right hander Xander Payne looks to keep the Mustangs hot like the weather after a 2-0 start.

The Mustangs start their league campaign with a 16-0 win vs Barker. Zack Fike earned the win pitching 4 innings with 8 K’s. He also added a 2 run HR. Aiden Paul comes in relief in the 5th and finishes the game with 7 K’s. The Mustangs hit the Diamond again tomorrow @ Barker.

Junior Zach Fike will toe the rubber in the Mustangs first league matchup vs. Barker on the turf at 4:45 pm. Fike contributed to a combined no hitter in the season opener and went 3/4 at the plate driving in 2 runs.

The Mustangs open up their 2021 season with a 10-0 win over Livonia in 5 innings. Zack Fike and Xander Payne led the way on the mound tossing a 5 inning combined no-hitter with 8 total K’s. Fike had 3 hits, Joe Cecchini and Alex Doval had 2 hits and Austin Mosher added a 2b to lead the offensive attack. Thursday afternoon the Mustangs will open up league play against Barker on the Turf at 4:45.
