Cellist Jeffrey Solow just received a Christian R. & Mary F. Lindback Foundation Award for Distinguished Teaching. These awards honor faculty members who "epitomize the highest levels of sustained teaching excellence in a classroom, laboratory, or clinical setting." Congratulations!

In December, Jeffrey Swann served as Chairman of the Jury of the Rosalyn Tureck International Bach Competition.

Last Sunday pianists Jeffrey Swann & Marilyn Nonken and violinist Gregory Fulkerson presented a program titled "Three Visions of a New Century" (with works by Schoenberg, Debussy and Ives) at New York University.

It was another busy summer for cellist Jeffrey Solow with appearances at the Music School of Delaware Adult Cello Festival, the Park City (Utah) Beethoven Festival, the Summit Music Festival, the Lake Placid Chamber Music Seminar for Adults, a lecture and master class at Meadowmount, and, for the 9th summer in a row, the complete Bach Suites for Solo Cello at Bargemusic (Brooklyn, New York). In between, he managed to enjoy some scuba diving off the island of Saba in the Caribbean!

Pianist Jeffrey Swann enjoyed teaching and performing at the first Chopin Piano Academy sponsored by the Kosciuszko Foundation in Washington DC last weekend. Here he is at the Polish Embassy with fellow professors Piotr Paleczny and Krzysztof Jablonski.
