Grace Choir

For those of you who might not read your email on a regular basis, we received a note from former director Joe Taff yesterday about a concert he's directing this afternoon. It's available online for those who can "attend." I know the world of live streaming and virtual events is a tough one, and I'm thinking of y...ou all as we weather this year without large-scale in-person choral singing. I've been blessed with the opportunity to do some small performances this year (with very few singers), and we will be live streaming one tomorrow (12/8) at 12:10pm. I'll be conducting two Advent cantatas, one by J.S. Bach and another by his colleague G.P. Telemann. You can find the link here. (Right now, this only links to a Facebook page - I hope that once it goes live, you won't need Facebook to access it, but I am not sure.) If you have time, tune in and help me kick off an Advent like no other. To all our wonderful followers: out of an abundance of caution, and concern for the well-being of all, we are postponing our March 28 concert until further notice. The GRACE Choir has been working VERY hard on this concert, and will schedule our next concert when COVID-19 subsides.

REMINDER - GRACE Choir rehearsals for our Spring/Easter Concert begin THIS Wednesday - January 15, at 7:30PM, at Mendon Church, 936 Cheese Factory Road. Please join us - or just come to check us out if you love making a joyful noise unto the Lord. We will sing a variety of Christian songs, some acapella, some with keyboard accompaniment, and some with a live instrumental quartet! And there is more GREAT NEWS! David has found SATB rehearsal tracks for ALL of the songs we will be singing, and we will provide audio CDs for you to take home and practice with, in addition to the full demo tracks. You can also pick up a DVD or Blu-ray video of our Christmas concert. PLEASE SHARE THIS with any of your fellow singers.

Come join us! We're starting rehearsals for our Spring/Easter Concert. Wednesday evenings at 7:30PM. Mendon Church - 936 Cheese Factory Road. Great songs that David has already chosen. For this concert we will sing several acapella songs, and the rest will be accompanied by live music. More info to come.

GRACE Choir is happy to announce that at our December 21 concert (4PM at Mendon Church), Peggy Torpey will speak briefly about the local non-profit organization, "Uprising", which works to change the lives of homeless children in Uganda. Peggy will also have a display of items - including hand-made jewelry, other craft items, and some clothing - for sale on behalf of Uprising. A free-will offering will be given to support Uprising, after Peggy's talk.

The GRACE choir sings at the Honeoye Falls - Lima Middle School, by invitation from the Honeoye Falls Community Concert Band. We sang four of our songs for Christmas. To hear all ten songs, and meet our new director, David Han, come to our December 21, 4PM concert at Mendon Church. It's going to be wonderful!
