We’re still celebrating National Foster A Pet Month with @petcolove ! Today we’re sharing Billy’s experience on what it’s like to foster with kids: . . Our daughter has always wanted a pet, and while my wife and I both grew up with animals, we haven’t been able to adopt because we travel for work every summer. One day our daughter presented the idea of fostering. I looked into it and was fortunate to discovered Meow Parlour. We went through the process and started fostering.... The whole experience has been very rewarding for the whole family. We currently have Ernie in our home and he is such a great cat. The cats bring us joy, and they all have such unique and lovable personalities. We are very happy that our daughter has been able to develop these relationships, and honestly we have all been surprised at just how meaningful fostering can be. . . We haven’t posted videos of Mama Gris before because...she doesn’t do much besides chilling and being cute but we decided it’s actually worth a video?? . . Once in a while, her foster mom will catch her playing with her kittens, or being silly with a kicker toy, but she stops as soon as she noticed and gets embarrassed .... . Looking for a perfect pair of kittens? Birch and Chestnut are exactly what you need! They’re playful and sweet, they love each other and they love people. Only issue is that you may be stuck for hours with a sleeping kitten on your chest, so your productivity may be impacted but those sacrifices are worth it, aren’t they? We’ve received conflicting information regarding their age, but they’re between 4-6months old. How gorgeous is Priscilla? She’s 2 years old and the sweetest thing. She has lived with dogs and cats before, and is totally fine with them but she actually really blossomed at her foster home now that she is on her own. She is playful but happy to play on her own, and she loves being petted but is not high maintenance. She is just a perfectly gentle and low-key kitty who would love to be home for the holidays! In March, we announced that we would close Meow Parlour for 10 days to flatten the curve. That was almost 9 months ago. We have been closed longer than we have been open this year. But it doesn't mean that we stopped saving lives. During the months since, we grew our foster program, and now take in cats from 3 different shelters. It's been a tough year, but more than ever, we are committing to help get cats adopted. This is Monroe, and she is the newest member of the Meow Par...lour family. She was covered in poop and flea dirt when we got her yesterday, but her dedicated foster Kali (@fosterbeasts on Instagram) gave her bath, and she spent all night purring and cuddling after that.
