As an RN and ECMO specialist, Lena worked long, hard days throughout the pandemic in the COVID unit. She used running and exercise as an outlet and her 'alone time.' Today marks #NationalDoctorsDay when we honor and celebrate the professionals who aim to serve and care for our neighbors with the highest level of care. We are grateful to all of our doctors, and thank the physicians who serve on the Foundation's Board to support the WNY community!

This Friday, we are hosting a special luminaria event and prayer service to remember those who lost their lives to COVID-19, thank caregivers everywhere for the...ir tireless efforts, and celebrate the hope for a brighter tomorrow. We invite the community to join us by gathering responsibly at the sites listed. Area residents can also participate by sharing a message of hope, gratitude or remembrance online; safely lighting a candle in their homes, or placing a flameless candle in their windows.
