I'd like to get a conversation going. I'm always telling my patients when they come for their first visits that the procedure of acupuncture is probably nothing like they're anticipating (and usually fearing) in terms of needle sensation etc. How was your first acupuncture treatment the same or different from what you had been picturing in your mind? I'm curious to hear what everyone says...

I'm a huge proponent of cupping in my practice and I always describe it to my patients as "the opposite of a massage." This article stole my simile. Haha.
