SENIOR SPOTLIGHT... This recital weekend, our seniors are taking their final bow on the MDC stage. We wanted to take these next days highlighting our incredible seniors First up, Jessica M! She says:... I began dancing when I was 3 years old. My older sister danced at our studio so I always knew that that is where I would begin to learn to dance as well. I started in Miss Debbie’s classes and then had Miss Monica as a teacher. Something that I remember is being very nervous during a tap class because I was not as good as the other kids because I had taken a year off from tap. But I remember talking to my teachers and them being extremely supportive. I continued with the class and now tap is my favorite form of dance. Over the years, I have taken tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and pointe. I have also been an assistant teacher for 5 years, helping with Miss Kirsten’s classes. Next year I will be attending the University of Virginia and hope to continue dancing.

These are the amazing Seniors and 10+ Year Students who will be performing in our Opening dance. They’ve worked so hard to get where they are!! I couldn’t be more proud of this group

The ladies of Adult Tap surprised Courtney with a congratulatory toast on her upcoming wedding! Always a fun time on Monday evenings!!

Each day we have the privilege to dance. We hope others take the opportunity to enjoy this art form with us!
