We’ve added new classes in June that have openings! Come visit us in downtown Syracuse-We have no-hassle parking and we make really pretty things like these stacking rings!
I've been posting components on my Etsy page like these ring blanks. We use these in the studio to make our spinner rings (we also use sterling silver of course!) I love all the fun patterns! You can use them for rings, or cut them up and make whatever you like!

Lisa did a beautiful job setting this heirloom stone-it belonged to her friend’s grandmother and she trusted Lisa to create a new setting for it in our Mentorship program. I think keeping the setting simple really shows off the stone and lets it do all the talking. Nice work Lisa, hope your friend loved it!
We had a little extra time in our cuff making class today so we were able to make earrings to go with our new cuffs! Our next cuff class is coming up on June 16th at 5:00 if you would like to make one yourself.
You could say Jessica is a regular in the studio. She's taken almost every class we offer and her skills continue to grow in leaps and bounds! Today, she made a labradorite ring to match the necklace she made last month. The photo doesn't capture all of the light in the stone, but you get the idea! Our next bezel setting class is coming up in July and there is one spot left!
We had 2 spots open up in tomorrow’s cuff making class! Come escape the heat and make your very own solid copper cuff! 10am-noon in our Syracuse studio.
Our February classes are posted over on the website, including wrap rings, spinner rings, stacking rings and a bunch more! Come join us in our Syracuse studio for a little break from the every day world. Class sizes are small so we can spread out and students report that they feel safe.
2 spots just opened in this sold out class!
I know many of you who attend classes are also very interested in gardening. Just saw this opportunity to learn more about vegetable gardening from Master Gardener at Cornell Cooperative Extension. I know Jennie personally and she is super passionate about her craft! I’ll be taking this class coming up. It’s free although you can also contribute if you are able too. https://fb.me/e/cYeFIOVTP
This wrap style ring was made by Mentee Brenda O’Brien using copper sheet metal with a rolling mill texture. Brenda former the ring and added a lapis stone in a bezel setting. This was finished in less than 2 hours! We have a wrap ring class coming in February-visit our website to find the details!
Loving this mixed metal ring finished by Mentee Alison Waters in the studio today. The base is copper and the ring band is a patterned silver wire. It was hard to get the lighting right but the stone pops in this take.
Another NEW class today, Stacked Chevron Rings! In the spirit of choice, some made all Chevrons, one made all stacking rings and one made a combo. And yes, since I know someone is going to go there Wonder Woman is and will forever be my favorite superhero and I have the Underoos to prove it
2 spots just re-opened!!!
I have to tell you, after teaching so many ring classes, I was so excited to teach this AWESOME earring making class! So much room for creativity! Students picked their textures (oddly out of around 20 choices they all picked the same texture!) then they picked the shape of their design that we cut out, then they chose beads if they wanted too...so many choices=SO much fun!!! I would wear any of these in a hot minute!
Only 2 spots left in this March class!
Totally NEW earring class coming on January 30th! I love this process! You choose you shape, pattern, color and beads if you want them! Immerse yourself in a little time for yourself. Class size is 4 people so we can spread out.
We just held out first Wave Spinner Ring today. It was my for time teaching this class and I came away with a couple of things to tweak for the next time around. These are a new take on the classic spinner ring as the base ring is rolled with a texture plate and then cut with a pancake die on the press to create the wavy edge. I think they look really good!
We had a mother-daughter duo and 2 friends having a girls day out making rings in the studio today. Making things with your hands is a great escape from the outside world and time passes so quickly!
One of my favorite ways to create patina on Metal is with heat. These are copper triangles heated with a torch until they are glowing red, then quickly quenched in water leaving a reddish hue. I think this would be a fun earring class combing texture, patina and even add some beads, what??? Yes, I still love my beads. It’s a sickness. What do you think of this as a class?
My students today reminded me of why this is one of my favorite classes to teach-look st how pretty their rings are! 2 of the students have taken a a few classes before and they are really very independent working in the studio now! Makes me proud to see what they can do!
I finally got my hands on some faceted sapphire from Rosy on the Rocks. I set this one in silver and added a floral textured pattern to the base plate. I soldered on a hidden bail and tumbled it with Hone and Highlight tumbling medium. It has an oxidized 18 sterling silver chain to compliment the antique finish. I’m calling it done and posting it for sale
