Found this gem of a photo in a book titled "150 years of Model Trains" by Hal Carstens. You may recognize some of the names and faces. One of these guys became METCA'S President and TCA President. Do you know which one?

Do you like Lionel trains? Do you like MTH trains? Do you like Atlas O trains? Maybe you like different series such as 6464 Boxcars or Beer trains or Entenmanns. Well, whatever you like, chances are that METCA has something for you. Check out the new releases we've just put in the METCA webstore: https://metca.org/store.html Those items listed as "in-stock" are limited to the last few we have on hand, while supplies last. Others are available for pre-order/reservation....

Our good friends from Southern division Charlie and Mary Anyan, were having breakfast this morning in Florida with the gulf of Mexico behind them. 80 degrees there. So I returned the favor of sending a photo of snow and 29 degree weather today. Best part is the hat that Charlie is wearing... looking good Charlie but I bet the hat would look better on Mary

Happy 60th anniversary to the Metropolitan Division. 60 years of trains, friendships, good times and more trains. November of 1961 to present day, thousands of TCA members belonged to the METCA Division. This division is one of the best in TCA. We have made so many friendships along the way and will continue to make more in the future. if anybody has METCA pictures they want to share, especially from the beginning please post them or send them to us. we would love to put them in our archives. do not forget we have all the newsletters posted on the website. www.metca.org. attached is a 60th letter from our President along with 60th logos. HAPPY 60TH ANNIVERSARY TO ALL OF OUR MEMBERS.

ok, Not a model train but a pretty historic equipment move in METCA territory. Morristown and Erie 20 hauls the abandoned equipment that belonged to the New York & Greenwood Lake Railway out of Passaic NJ. The moved crossed the Passaic river and proceeded down Monroe street in Garfield NJ. the Dundee spur was a former Erie street running spur to service industries in Passaic. this is probably the second to last move over this bridge, the last will probably be the work train that is ripping up the rail. the hospital move made its way to NJT Bergen County line and went west a few miles to NYSW yard at Passaic Jct in Saddle Brook NJ.

Today's mail brought 2 METCA 6-9272 New Haven Bay window cabooses...in 1979 the Metropolitan Division released these cabooses. There is a difference in these cabooses, can you see the difference? One variation is worth more than the other. Only because there was a limited amount produced. Let's see if you can tell us which variation is worth more...
