When you aren’t able to come work alongside us in NYC, you can bring the Urban Immersion experience to your hometown! Designed for small groups (ages 12 and up), Metro’s virtual Urban Immersion curriculum takes a look into six aspects of our ministry in New York City: Homelessness, Food Justice, Youth & Education, Gentrification, Interfaith Work, and Arts & Theater. Each of the six sessions includes a video introduction by one of our local ministers and practitioners, group activities, a community connection, Bible study, questions for reflection and conversation, and a final challenge for engaging this work in your own city. We LOVE having church groups and volunteer teams stay at Metro, and we have missed having folks from around the country in our space!
