There has been a lot of confusion regarding the new bat standards for the 2018 baseball season. All bats must have the USABaseball stamp on the bat and for our division both 2 1/4" and 2 5/8" barrels are allowed, again providing they bear the USABaseball marking. see below for the difference in the old (left) and new (right) markings. Also no BBCOR bats are allowed.

Parents, We are a go for baseball in 2021 but there will be some changes due to the current situation surrounding COVID-19. With the lack of space and guidelines related to in-person meetings, registrations for the 2021 Spring season will be limited to either online or mail in registration ONLY. There will be no in-person registrations for this season. We understand that this may be an inconvenience for some of you, but logistically this is the best option for the program.... Some changes and information to take note of: All online registrations will include the $75 fundraiser buyout as always. Cherrydale IS available this season, via a totally "zero touch" program. If you are going to register online, but still wish to do Cherrydale there will be an option for you choose between the straight $75 buyout or $75 Cherrydale. You will be refunded the $75 once your Cherrydale fundraiser is fulfilled and the order is complete. We will have more information on the "zero touch" Cherrydale fundraiser shortly but we have attached a short information sheet to give you an idea of how it works. Mail in registration forms can be found on our website and attached to the registration email and can be found on Facebook. When mailing in your registration forms please make checks payable to "Midlakes Babe Ruth Baseball". If you are unsure of your total please reference our website, Facebook page, email us at [email protected] or message us on Facebook. Both online and mail in registrations will be subject to the COVID-19 guidelines outlined in our "Return to play plan" from 2020. Online will have a section that asks that you accept the COVID-19 waiver. For mail in registrations, please include the signature page of the document with your registration. There will be no opening day ceremony this season. There will be no concession stand this season. The last two items are of particular importance. The loss of revenue from last year, couples with not having a concession stand for this season means that your fundraiser money will be of HUGE importance to this program more than ever. Even if you have always done the buyout in the past, please consider Cherrydale for this season. With no catalogs to pass around and no order forms to fill out, Cherrydale will be extremely easy. We are in need of board members and coaches for the 2021 season. If you are interested, please contact us ASAP. Registrations will open 2/1 and will end on 3/14. We do not have any idea of schedules yet for games or practice times and as soon as we do you will be notified.

Attention parents: For those of you doing Cherrydale this season, please note that the sales goal per player is still $120, just as it always has been. The early draft of the informational email from Cherrydale had omitted the sales goal. Again thank you to everyone who is participating in fundraising this year for our program.

Our online Cherrydale fundraiser is up and running. please use the link below to register your child. The site can also be setup to make donations to the program directly. Between last year's loss of revenue and this season not having a concession stand, our ability to make any improvements or purchases for the program is severely hampered. We ask that anyone who is willing to help our program by fundraising this season please do so. Once you have registered, you will be assigned a unique code for your player. This is the code that you give to people to tie their purchase to your account Anyone who wishes to make a donation through the site can register and use your own information instead of a player, if you have no player in the program. We are in need of an Architect who is willing to donate their time to create a couple renderings for a capital project for our program. If you know of anyone, please have them contact us.

There are no residency requirements and there is no requirement for you to have a child registered in the program. You will need to complete an application and submit to a background check in order to be considered.
