Total snow accumulations of up to two inches and ice accumulations of a trace to two tenths of an inch. * WHERE...The Capital District, Helderbergs, Schoharie Valley, eastern Catskills, Mid Hudson Valley, central and southern Taconics, and Litchfield Hills.... * WHEN...From 7 PM Friday to 7 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Greatest ice accumulation expected above 1000 feet.

Chief Kurt Mizgier 1:30 Weds afternoon Milan Fire Dept was dispatched to a chimney fire that had extended into a wall at residence on St Rt 199 in the hamlet of Lafayettville, Town of Milan .... Upon arrival, Chief Mizgier found the fire had extended into the attic and requested a second alarm bringing mutual aid from Pine Plains , Rhinebeck, Red Hook and Stanford Fire Dept’s to the scene . Hillside and Livingston Depts relocated to two of Milan stations for coverage . The fire was knocked down in approximately a half hour. Due to an aggressive attack, the fire was contained to the one wall and attic and the structure is still habitable . All units cleared the scene two and half hours later. Milan was assisted at the scene by Dutchess County 911 center, Dutchess County Fire Investigation team and Central Hudson Gas & Electric. Tonight is last night to view lights at Wilcox Park from 6pm to 9pm. Traffic was heavy last night use alternate routes if you don't want to be stuck in traffic if you not going to event.
