To all advertising professionals, brand owners and advertisers, Happy Cyber Week! May the odds algorithm be ever in your favor. Also, I hope your Black Friday offers are as awesome as this one I found in the city. But on a serious note, please take a moment away from the computer to spend quality time with the fam. Happy Thanksgiving!

Whew, it's been a minute since I last posted here we've been so busy with a ton of great projects and helping our clients navigate the ever-changing digital marketing ecosystem. Lately, it feels like changes on Facebook and Google happen every week (some weeks, every other day even!) and this year, the landscape has been MAJORLY disrupted by iOS14+, limiting a lot of ad platforms' ability to target and retarget audiences. As my personal mantra goes, "don't worry about... things that you can't control work on those you can" SO, we've been busy working with ecommerce brands to optimize their landing pages, set up SMS marketing, strengthen email marketing, etc., basically, improving a customer's after-click experience because let's face it, Facebook and Google are traffic sources, once they land on your site, it's up to you to convert them. And wow, I just looked back at one of the brands that we work with and we spent over $700K and got back $2.3 MILLION (3.2x!) and that's with the iOS changes, meaning, we're probably not seeing about an additional 10% of revenue from this dashboard, which in turn means, potentially, our ads earned more. In my past life working at a big multinational agency, I was so proud to be working with established brands like Nike, Microsoft, etc. However, nothing beats the feeling of seeing your own work showcased in a global powerhouse’s social page not as a product of another company, but your own. Today, we launched the latest collab between client, Petunia Pickle Bottom and Disney Baby and the ad that we created was highlighted in Disney Baby’s IG story and feed ....and... Boy..., am I so proud?! I just had to do a screen recording also because I am a huge Disney fan! #DigitalMarketing

I take great pride in working alongside people and teams that have built their businesses from the ground up, you know, brands that started as a passion project with a bigger mission aside from making profit or small businesses that sell well-made products heck even better than those that are mass produced by big conglomerates but just don't have the deep pockets that bigger companies have. Helping these companies grow, watching them compete with the Goliaths of their respective industries (with their more established competitors taking notice!) and essentially finding success that they truly deserve is my personal advocacy. Receiving random messages like this one makes me love what I do even more.

We are 2 months away from joining the 2-comma club for this ecommerce store and just within 7 months of running campaigns AND within a global pandemic. What really worked for this brand is the fact that they acknowledged investing in brand-building, testing, testing and even more testing. Paid ads are not the magic solution to a brand's problem and there's no one-size-fits-all solution. I mean, if there was one, people like me would be out of work. :)... Media buying, despite it playing a big role in your marketing ecosystem should NOT be the only source of revenue - it's a great way of acquiring potential customers. But, as you already know, it takes at least 7 engagement points before a person becomes a buyer. So, relying solely on ads can get expensive. I am a HUGE fan of setting up a proper backend email funnel especially for ecommerce. It's the most cost-effective way of warming up audiences that you paid to acquire with your ads. Some of my favorite sequences are: 3-part abandoned cart sequence spread within 3 days 7 to 14-day welcome series Win-back sequence (14 days post purchase) At least 4 custom, relevant broadcast emails (promotional, launches, announcements) Review sequence Having the proper layers in your marketing funnel will help you make the most out of your paid ads. Do you love email marketing as much as I do?

Most of the time, a high converting ad comes with a copy that excite customers. A lot of brands out there think that by boasting their patented technology or, highlighting that they are the world's first will move the needle. YES, these are great talk points for credibility but do you know what really works? Empathy. ... Messaging that relates well with your audience. Creative that moves the emotions. Advertising is personal and brands that understand this will succeed. See more

In true Cinderella fashion, this @petuniapicklebottom x @disneybaby collab just launched at the stroke of midnight. Possibly the most adorable collab yet and the team and I are honored to be part of it. @milesdigitalny

I am not going to lie these are very tough times for businesses, especially for those with actual storefronts. I'm very lucky that I've focused my specialty in the ecommerce world because right now, in spite of what's going on, the industry is thriving as more people turn to social media and online shopping to fill their time. If you're a business owner, it's not too late to make that pivot. Own a restaurant? Focus on on-line delivery. ... Own a gym? Live stream classes. Own a childcare agency? Offer on-line classes (arts & craft, etc. to help kids stay productive). The reality is, even after the lockdown and things go back to "normal", nothing will be the same. People will be extra careful to go outside. They'll still have reservations when it comes to going to crowded places and possibly eating out. Until there's a proven vaccine and cure, our reality will be very different pre-corona virus days. So, instead of waiting it out, I encourage you to re-structure your business to cater to the highly digitalized world. These are results that we were able to generate a baby / parenting brand in just 2 weeks after launch note that this is already an established, well-respected brand and they just started ramping up their digital presence. Spend: $1,544.69 Revenue: $25,322.03 ROAS: 16.39 If you have any questions, please feel free to message me, I'd be more than happy to consult and help business owners for free especially during this time of uncertainty.

When it comes to scaling campaigns, we don't just rely on one source of traffic because our audiences are not confined in one platform. PLUS, diversifying traffic means mitigating risk of loss due to certain things outside of our control (hello, algorithm updates and platform changes!) We recently plunged into Pinterest advertising and are seeing campaigns with HIGH potential. Pinterest may be the less popular cousin of Facebook but they have a highly engaged, mostly female ...audience who are willing to spend. In my opinion, Pinterest users are even more engaged than those in FB because they're spending a lot more time curating things that they want and, tapping into that insight with Pinterest native ads can be quite beneficial for brands. What I LOVE most about Pinterest is that it is a hybrid of search and contextual advertising so you get the best of Google and Facebook. Check out the result that we're getting for a female-focused brand in just a week! Spend: $145.18 Return: $1,822.25 BONUS: Because there is less competition in Pinterest, the CPMs are pretty cheap we're talking $0.49!

Don't neglect email marketing. Your customer acquisition funnels (social media + google ads) can get a boost with a proper email strategy. Check out the revenue that we're able to generate with just an AUTOMATED 3-part transactional email ($15,000 in revenue) AND a 10-part AUTOMATED Welcome Series ($49,000 in revenue)... A-U-T-O-M-A-T-E-D. That means no optimizing, no daily checking, no headache, money-making machine. However, we know our campaigns can be better than this so we will be adding automated upsell, win-back campaigns to the list. Remember, for a lot of ecommerce brands, 30% of revenue comes from repeat purchase. Also, CPCs, Cost per acquisition, etc. are NOT getting any cheaper. The higher you can get your Lifetime Value (LTV), the better it is for everyone and email is a fantastic tool in your marketing kit for this.

We started working with an awesome brand just 3 months ago. Prior to us taking over their digital marketing, their online store was already making $15,000-$20,000 a month, primarily with Facebook and Google ads. While $15K-months sound awesome and a lot of people think it's easy to multiply earnings once you reach that level, often, business owners struggle to scale their revenue profitably because budget increase typically comes with sky-rocketing cost-per-aquisition. It's a... great brand with market-proven products and lots of PR. What we did was unify everything that's going well for the brand into one digital marketing campaign and we were able to profitably scale it to a $100,000/month store within 60 days. Here are the key ingredients: Great product with a proven market + unique offer and messaging + hyper targeted audience and custom creative + proven scaling methodology. NOTE: Digital marketing is not magic.... At the end of the day, the success of your store boils down to your product offering. :-)

February this year, I met with a CEO of a company and he told me his goal was to make $500,000 per month. At that time, their online store was making $100,000 a month. It was a realistic goal, sure, but I never, ever guarantee results. Only Mr. Zuckerberg can do that. I told him, It is possible. Maybe in a year and 1/2 we will get there. It’s our 2nd month of working together and we’re in the $409,000 mark.... We have a week until the month ends. Do you think we will be able to reach $500K? Rule #1: Under promise, over deliver.
