Hey all! I wanted to give you a preview to my Black Friday special. Book and pay for a one-hour session and receive a FREE mini-session to be redeemed any time between now and the end of next year- 12/31/21. Use one session for your family plus give one to gift! OR redeem the free mini-session now in time for holiday cards and use the hourlong session any time next year. Plus, new this year (because 2020 has sucked sooooo much) If I book ten sessions between Black Friday and December 1, I will do a drawing and give one client ALL their money back. (That's one out of ten chance of winning $550 back on December 1st, which would make for one happy holiday!)

I want to share a shot from the recent wedding I photographed earlier this month, following guidelines about less than 50 guests, etc. So, my goal when I work with clients is to literally give them everything they want. Candid moments like your dad crying when he sees you in your wedding dress? Yes? Portraits by the lake with the willow trees, and by the 18th hole with "Just married" written in the sand trap, AND by the fountain at sunset AND by the waterfall AND lit up at th...e colonnade at night? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes and yes! I Dos, rings on fingers, details of your shoes, your dress from behind, the kiss, the grand entrance, the first dance, the cake? Of course, of course, of course. (You can see all these and more here: https://milestoneimages.pixieset.com/robandangela/) But then, I also catch moments you never knew to ask me for. Here's the bride's nephew, the ringbearer, running around the bridal suite after the ceremony- little rented tux off- with the bride's big formal bustle tossed to the side. In the reflection of the mirror, the bride's niece (her mini-me) is gazing up at her in wonder. These are the moments you never see, that I can't plan for, that become infinitely precious to you. That's what makes me different. Getting all that you want out of a photographer without disappointment ("I didn't know I had to ask for a shot where you can see the back of my dress"- Said No Milestone Bride) makes me a great vendor. Knowing what you're paying for, how much and when with no aggressive upselling? That's what makes me a great value. All the photos you ever wanted, plus ones you didn't even know happened, like this precious ring bearer? That's what makes me priceless.

I have one mini-session opening THIS Saturday, November 21st at 10:30 a.m. A mini-session costs $175 and lasts 20 minutes. You get 10 edited images as a digital download. They can be held indoors or outdoors, with the photographer (me) wearing an N95 mask the entire time with the studio disninfected between families. Sets can accommodate Christmas, Hanukkah, interfaith and general winter settings. This year’s neutral sets look good with grey, white, cream, khaki, blue jeans, black, blues, greens and reds, so coordinating outfits is easier. Who wants it?

I had two sessions this past weekend with lovely, repeat customer families! Oh, how I love watching these kiddos grow up in front of my camera. I've been photographing both of them since they were teeny tiny little sellers at my hot cocoa stand minis and frankly traumatized wearers of princess crowns (we've worked through it.) Because for both of these kiddos, I am pretty much The Camera Lady, they were both excited to "shoot" alongside me. And now, without further ado, my job and what I do as interpreted by Lila and Niles. (Links to Retro Lila and Niles in the comments)

Here are three fun facts about working with me. 1. I have a crazy, detailed memory. 2. I keep my photo archives organized beyond belief so I can put my hands on a photo from 2012 in two minutes or less. 3. I love getting to working clients over and over again documenting all the milestones in their lives. What do these three things mean? Not only do I shoot this photo of you at your wedding eight years ago casting a shadow on your venue, but I am still committed to working wi...th you years later now that you have two kids. I remember exactly what I shot for you on your wedding day, even though I have done thousands of shoots since then. I see the light in the moment that I am shooting so I can set this up, AND THEN, I rock my archive library system so I can pull the wedding photo to show you the side-by-side. Thanks to Erica Manney and Frank Feeley for being loyal customers!
